Jacob's Ladder 2008 was an amazing experience! A musical jamboree on the Sea of Galilee, Jacob's Ladder is both a home-town gathering that brings the entire Israel folk community together, and a magnet for fabulous tourist talent from abroad. It was founded 30 years ago by Menachem and Yehudit Winograd, and the festival has been going ever since. This year, I was able to share lots of music with JL fans, in both a children's concert, and a show for general (supposedly adult) audiences. And thanks to my good friend, mega-musician Larry Fogel, I'm able to share some of the excitement with you, too. Yes, folks, it's true: I've been Youtubed. (Scroll down to see concert versions of two brand-new, unrecorded songs).
Banks of Freedom, by Sandy Cash 2008 This is a brand-new song, based on the story of Josiah Henson, a former "model slave" who went on to become a conductor on the Underground Railroad.
Bible or Bust, by Sandy Cash 2007 In this song, I try to salvage my reputation. I fail.
