In just a few days I head off to the States to attend the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. I'm excited about becoming the latest member-in-good-standing of this US-based folk community. But at the same time, I'm enormously grateful to the old folks at home - the members of the Israel folk community who turned out in force to attend shows in my hastily-thrown-together series of fundraising concerts. Over the past month I've played shows in Jerusalem, Beer Sheva, Rehovot, Karmiel, Raanana and Bet Shemesh. I'm glad I don't keep up this pace all the time (I work a day job and raise kids in addition to all this music stuff!), but the concert tour definately did the trick... I'm now fully "in the black" and able to ready to launch this unexpected and wonderful adventure. Thanks, everyone. I'll be writing again when I get back! |
