...the power and broad interpretive style of a Bette Midler or Barbra Streisand... Sandy Cash has a very special gift, that more than a singer, she is an excellent storyteller.

Name: Jacob Gabriel ("Yaakov")
Born: November 12, 1994
Hobbies: Basketball, helping out at a neighboring farm, performing at his Mom's kids' concerts (he'll need his own website soon...)

In January, Jacob will be playing the part of Benjamin in the Jerusalem English Speaking Theater's Production of Prairie Lights (in which I play his adoptive mom). You can read more about the show by clicking here.

In 2005, Jacob put out his very own CD, called "Songs for Kids (Like ME!)". It has four songs that Jacob has performed at various folk clubs around Israel (accompanied by his intrepid mom on guitar), or as a guest star at one of my kids' concerts.

You can download an MP3 of the rousing closing track, right here!

Song Recommendation:

Flying by Stan Rogers

Stan Rogers has been a long-time favorite in our house. But Jacob loves the drama of this particular song, which tells the story of a would-be player for the National Hockey League.
