Can we get ON with it already?!

Let me go on record here: I am not looking forward to America's war against Iraq. At the same time, I understand the military dangers of putting off until tomorrow what you may, in some future time, kick yourself for not doing today.

But for us here in Israel, the news that the US attack has been put off for another week or two had the calming effect of a temporary relaxation of the rope of a guillotine.

Pardon me if my tone waxeth dramatic. I've been under a little pressure lately.

Not so my eldest son, Sam. The other day he came bounding home, happy as a clam, because his teachers had announced that, in the event of war, he would be going to school just 90 minutes a day.

Seems there's this issue of having enough room in the bomb shelter for all the kids.

Oy.
